Write Away

Sometimes I feel like that towards certain fans of Game of Thrones who seem like they're trying to downplay the fantastic elements of the books and show. Maybe it's just me, but some of them seem kind of reluctant to admit that there is a fantasy series that they actually like. There are all these attempts to make it some kind of exception in the genre that rises above all the rest. While I'm thinking that other people have done the same things that Martin is praised for and there's nothing about those things that contradict the fantasy genre as a whole.
